Tax Leader at PwC Ghana & PwC Africa’s Diversity and Inclusion Leader
Ayesha Bedwei Ibe is the Tax Leader at PwC Ghana and PwC Africa’s Diversity and Inclusion Leader. She is also PwC West Africa’s Corporate Responsibility Leader.
Ayesha leads many efforts to create more inclusive work environments at PwC. As the leader for Diversity across PwC Africa, she supports the career development of female leaders and works alongside the Africa Territory Senior Partner to grow the female talent pipeline.
Since 2018, Ayesha has spearheaded the development of PwC NextGen Councils in Africa. The NextGen Councils represent a group of young high performing Senior Associates and Associates across the territory who focus on key areas to challenge, innovate, develop, and build upon the success of previous generations.
Ayesha is part of PwC’s global disability steering committee and also regularly contributes to panels discussing various issues around tax, corporate responsibility, disability, gender equality and career development.
Ayesha has over 20 years’ experience in finance and accounting and has built a large network of global clients and associates during her professional career. She has a wealth of experience in the energy field due to her involvement in Ghana’s oil and gas sector from its inception in 2007 to date. Additionally, Ayesha services multinational clients across a wide range of industries including fast moving consumer goods, telecommunications, and manufacturing.
In addition to her leadership roles at PwC, Ayesha is also the President of the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana, and Chairperson of the Palm Advisory Institute, Ghana.
